SIMPLE WINTER CRAFTS AND ACTIVITIES
Winter is for slowing down and cozying up! Here at The Art Kit, we love taking advantage of the cooler winter months to slow down, work on seasonal arts and crafts, and cozy up indoors. Of course, we also enjoy getting out in nature but it’s also fun to enjoy indoor activities as well, especially when it’s gotten a bit too frosty outside!
One of our favorite winter activities is to make scented homemade playdough. We scent our dough with all natural, kid-safe ingredients so you can feel confident giving them to your children to play with.
Some of our favorite winter playdough scents are:
Snow flurries
Christmas tree
Christmas wreaths
If slime is popular with your children, don’t miss our snow slime recipe – it’s divine!
For simple crafts, you won’t want to miss our simple snowflake paper craft. Simply print it out and invite your child to glue on gems, bits of paper, pom poms, confetti, or buttons!
Or, you could laminate it and use it with any of our playdough recipes.
Making paper chains is another activity we love to work on in the winter. You could use them to decorate your home or to countdown to the first day of winter, etc.
We’re offering them to you for free; simply click here to download them today!
Popsicle stick snowflakes is another must-do winter craft! No matter your age, this classic craft is a fun way to express your creativity! Learn how to make them here.
